Day 1 of Cheltenham always offers the most offers of any of the days racing.  Bookmakers are keen to make you their bookmaker of choice for the festival, so expect plenty of value on the first race, The Supreme Novices Hurdle. I’ll run through each race and provide my thoughts on each in terms of the runners. I’m no professional tipster and welcome other people’s thoughts, but it may be of some use for those members that don’t follow racing.

Cheltenham Day 1 also known as Champion Day offers up some truly tantalizing racing. Things kick off with the The Supreme Novices Hurdle -13:30, next up is The Arkle -14:10, followed by the Ultima Handicap Chase  - 14:50, The Champion Hurdle - 15:30, The Mare’s Hurdle - 16:10, The National Hunt Chase - 16:50 and The Close Brothers Handicap Chase - 17:30. The first race of the day typically has the most offers, as bookies want to encourage you to continue betting with them throughout the day, so take advantage of as many of these offers as you can. Check out our suggestions on horses and offers to hit for each race above the reloads or on each specific race page as soon as they ybecome available.
