There are 19 fences to jump and it takes place around the new course. A typically open affair, the race was won in 2017 by 40-1 shot Doomsday book. Another notable winner was Cause of Causes in 2016. Any Second Now won this race in 2019 priced at 6-1.

Cheb de Kerviniou

Bought as a 10 year Old by Eliiot, which is interesting enough. May not go to Cheltenham but worth looking at if he shows up here at 20-1

Deise Aba

Won his last 2 starts and could go well here.

  1. 18 of the previous 20 winners ran over at least 3 miles in their previous race
  2. 9 of the last 11 winners came from the top 6 in the betting
  3. The previous 8 winners ran off a mark of 137 or greater
  4. There have only been 4 Irish winners in this race in 34 years
