The year 2020 has been a wild ride in more cases than one, and the NFL results thus far have followed the year´s trend. We are only six weeks into the regular season, but already the cracks are starting to show, excited players and teams, are failing to impress. In contrast, a bunch of unexpected results from lower-ranked groups continue to shock.

Lonely, in the Lone-Star State

Can times get much harder for Texan football fans? Their beloved Texans and Cowboys are a combined 3-9 this season so far.

A glimmer of hope for the Cowboys came through a rival fixture against the Giants last week. Still, those celebrations were short-lived following the Arizona Cardinals obliteration of the Cowboys this weekend, taking their record to 2-4 on the season.

The firing of Jason Garrett for the hiring of Mike McCarthy hasn´t been working out for the Cowboys, and the two successes in McCarthy´s play-action come up against two of the worst teams in the NFL – nothing to run home about. Before the season began, McCarthy went on record to say his team are contending for the Super Bowl and nothing else, looking into the first quarter it will be a struggle for Cowboys to make the playoffs, let alone win a Super Bowl.

Cowboy neighbours the Texans are heading down a similar route, with their lone victory this season coming up against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The AFC South champions of last season look like a shell of their former self and need a significant turnaround in performance to stand a chance of winning anything this year.

NFL Week Seven Betting Predictions

While talking about the Houston Texans and how poorly their football program has performed, this weekend their schedule does not become more comfortable. They will face up against 4-1 Green Bay Packers, and the spread has been set at -3.5 in favor of Green Bay.

The best sportsbooks have been rubbing their hands together with this season´s favorite teams failing, but this does force some new tangibles when creating the odds – leaving us (the betting public), some opportune moments to make some cash.

With their defensive problems evident, the Texans will face a vengeful Green Bay coming off the back of an embarrassing 38-10 loss to the Bucs. Aaron Rodgers MVP level performances failed to turn up last week, but I would not expect this trend to continue as the star quarterback has been on top form all season besides this one matchup.

A wide array of bookmakers is still unsure with the Packers, for the best available prices it´s imperative to shop for your odds. Sportsbookreview.com will provide you with all your betting information, odds and best prices.

Best Bet: Green Bay Packers -3.5 @ 1.91 [-110]

The Big Apple or Mouldy Fruit?

When you thought a football program could not get much worse than Texas, step up New York Giants and the New York Jets. The 1-5 Giants and 0-6 Jets combine for a 1-11 record to represent their state, joining the state Texas in the wall of shame through six weeks of NFL football.

Ok, so the Giants and Jets both have a sketchy history during their starts to NFL seasons, but with both teams starting with a 0-5 record it is now dawning on New York that 2020 could be their worst sports year in history. The Giants did manage to take one back last week, but a 20-19 win against the Washington Redskins was not exactly celebration-worthy.

Both teams have a history of needy starts to the season, but neither has started a season in such unison – both performing to the worst of their abilities.

With that said, New York Giant supporters should hold a small window of faith in comparison to their counterparts the Jets. The respective schedule for each team gives the Giants an advantage in the AFC East, the benefits we speak off come in the shape of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Bengals. But do not get too excited, in the history of the NFL a 0-5 team has never made the playoffs.
