What Accas Qualify for Acca insurance?

The markets that are covered by acca insurance will vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. We’ll cover what markets are covered on a bookmaker by bookmaker basis later in this article, but generally speaking acca insurance will apply to football accumulators and nearly always for match bets.

You can find Acca insurance for other sports. Some bookmakers use Acca insurance as a part of their suite of horse racing offers, particularly during major festivals. Take a look at our Cheltenham free bets page and also Royal Ascot and Aintree when these events are taking place. American sports like the NFL, baseball and NBA are also covered by some bookmakers.

How Many Legs Does My Accumulator Need to Have?

Again the number of legs that you need to have in your football accumulator to qualify for acca insurance will vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. In general terms though you will need at least 5 legs to qualify. Each of these legs will normally need to be placed with a minimum odds, but this is usually quite low (around 1.2).

You can of course add more legs to your accumulator and you will still qualify for acca insurance, but the more legs you have, the greater the chance of your acca losing. That said, your payout will be higher.

What are the Minimum Odds Required to Qualify?

The minimum odds to qualify for Acca insurance is usually split into 2 parts. The first section will require each leg of your acca to be of certain odds. As mentioned previously this is normally quite low (around ? or 1.2), but will vary between bookmakers. The second part will require the total accumulator to be higher than stipulated odds (normally around 3/1 or 4.0). Again this figure will vary from bookie to bookie so make sure that you check before placing your acca.

Is There a Minimum Bet Required for Acca Insurance?

Yes you will normally be required to place a bet of a certain value to qualify for accumulator insurance. This isn’t normally a large value. Typically the minimum bet to qualify is around £5, but some offer it as low as £2. Once you have placed a stake that totals the minimum bet required you will qualify for acca insurance and will receive your stake back as a free bet if one leg lets you down.

Is There a Maximum Refund Allowed?

Yes most bookmakers have a stake limit that will be returned if one leg lets you down. The amount refunded will vary from between £10 - £50 in some cases, so it’s best to shop around and find the bookmaker that offers the most generous terms when placing your accumulator.

How do I Qualify for Acca Insurance?

Qualifying for accumulator insurance is pretty straightforward for most bookmakers. You simply add your selections to your betslip on the bookmakers website (or within the betting app) and enter your stake. As long as you have added enough legs that meet the minimum odds you will automatically qualify.

Are There Other Accumulator Promotions Available?

Bookmakers love Accumulator promotions and as a result we’ve seen several different offers come and go over the years. A popular offer that has stuck is the Acca Boost. This gives punters a % boost on the winnings of their accumulator. This bonus usually increases with the number of legs that are included. The more legs, the bigger the boost.
