So far in 2020, we have experienced a very harsh year on the sports front. With hundreds of contests getting shut down due to Covid-19; there is actually still plenty to look forward to this month of September. Here is our September preview in the world of sport!

The Premier League

Good news – the Premier League is back underway this season and there are plenty of betting offers to go with it. Starting on the 12th September as recently promoted Fulham host Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side at Craven Cottage. In the circumstances, it’s great to see a local derby as our first game with recent news coming out regarding that every single Premier League match in September will be shown on TV!

Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool are also set to host Leeds United following their promotion to the Premier League under the leadership of Marcelo Bielsa. This game is set to be an interesting one with United last being in England’s top division 17 years ago.

Many have also put The Reds’ name forward to retain their title at the end of the season with many bookmakers showing odds of 2/1 – you can find this offer through the likes of William Hill, Betfair and Paddy Power currently.

Other headline matches across September will see the likes of Chelsea host Liverpool on the 20th September. Frank Lampard’s side have certainly been splashing the cash this season and could be considered as underdogs for the title this season. Although, we believe that The Blues may settle for a Champions League spot come May 2021.

Top Goalscorer Betting Tips

Other markets for the Premier League include the top goalscorer market which has seen a heavy favourite over the last couple of seasons. This is also a seemingly close market with a number of players being watched with a solid chance. Mohamed Salah is currently the favourite to be top goalscorer with odds as high as 11/2 through William Hill.

Pierre Emerick Aubamayeng and Harry Kane can also be found with similar prices, but if you fancy an outsider; the likes of Danny Ings, Mason Greenwood or Sadio Mane could also be good options which would see incredible profit.

Championship

Outside the Premier League, the Championship remains wide open with up to three teams leading the betting market. Norwich City, Brentford and Watford all lie top favourites in promotion to the world’s biggest league with favourable odds for The Hornets to win the division through BetVictor.

NFL

America’s largest sport is back with the National Football League! Over the last couple of years, this sport has really grown across the UK with several games even being played in England due to the thrilling support we can offer. Current Super Bowl champions San Francisco 49ers travel to Arizona Cardinals in their first game in hope of continuing their reigning title. The Kansas City Chiefs open up the 2020/21 NFL campaign by travelling to Houston Texans in what could be an interesting encounter at the NRG Stadium.

However, we could see an unlikely winner at the end of the season with New Orleans Saints the current favourite with odds of 12/1 being spotted with Betway and SportPesa to bring home the Superbowl. This is something they have not done since the 2009 season when they defeated Indianapolis Colts 31-17 at the Sun Life Stadium.

A surprise package this season could however be found in the Seattle Seahawks as they look to win their first SuperBowl since 2013. Odds of up to 22/1 can be seen with 888Sport as a highlighted price for The Seahawks.

F1

Elsewhere in the sporting world, F1 has been making the headlines recently with Pierre Gasly winning his first ever Grand Prix with Scuderia AlphaTauri at Monza, Italy following a thrilling race.

For the rest of September, we look forward to two more Grand Prix’s in Tuscany, Italy and the Sochi, Russia. These two specific races could make all sorts of headlines come the end of the season with the pressure on Lewis Hamilton to break a number of records at the end of the season.

Hamilton is sure to bring home his seventh World Championship at the end of the season, but with the next race in Tuscany coming up – who could come home as a race winner?

Many would argue that Gasly’s win at Monza was pure luck and with Hamilton’s time penalty as well as a red flag from Charles LeClerc, this could well be the case! But, if you’re feeling positive with the Frenchman; odds of up to a whopping 125/1 can be seen for Gasly to win the Tuscany GP.

Hamilton’s odds of ½ can be found with many bookmakers and they are expected to be shortened if the Stevenage-born driver comes anywhere near the front of the grid.

But, our betting tip for this race would be to see Carlos Sainz finish in the top 3. The Mexican has heavily impressed on the track as of late and with odds of 9/2 being seen with BetVictor, we believe that this could be a very respectable price.

As always we’ll bring you all the best F1 betting offers throughout the season, so keep checking in with us.

Elsewhere across the UK, the Ayr Gold Cup is on the horizon with 6f of the world’s greatest sprinters heading to Scotland. We like the look of Bielsa for the Gold Cup who can be seen with odds of 20/1 with BoyleSport. The 5yo has heavily impressed with two performances at Doncaster as well as Thirsk in preparation for the Gold Cup.

Just a week on from that, we have the Cambridgeshire Handicap at Newmarket over 1m 1f as Frankie Dettori looks for his third win in a row and his fourth win overall in this race with an extra victory coming in 1994 with Halling.
